And at long last, here's the next Space Cat page!

I know the site hasn't had a very solid or set-in-stone update schedule in a while due to all the recent shakeups/changes, but I think I might have Tuesday be Space Cat's new update day instead of Fridays. Balances out the week better, I think.

Anyway, as usual our hero knows that the best agents always follow their instincts, even if those instincts tell them to chase a bug into the jungle and abandon your squad.

Instincts, man. Don't question 'em.

Just one more update until the end of Episode 7, hope it hasn't been too disappointing or anything...

Anyway, no time to talk now, but I'll have a lot more to say about the comic and the site with the next update.

See you then!

Just a couple of action panels to segway us into Sunday's update.

I would have posted this on Thursday, but Space Cat is going to be a little late this week (big surprise: my fault!) and I figured since there's not too much going on in this one it would be better to have this and Sunday's close together (I almost just said 'screw it' and combined it with Sunday's.)

Anyway, not much else to say....hope everyone's having a good....May?

Be Aware http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=175

BLECH.....just pulled an all nighter to get this done. Somehow I doubt I'll be getting up early for community service tomorrow--or I guess technically today. 1 hour from now.

Then again I am still pretty wired on caffeine.

Kind of my own fault though, drawing this one didn't take TOO long, but I couldn't figure out how I wanted to do it and kept replanning and redrawing until I was happy with it. In the end I'm actually pretty satisfied with it artwise; I want to keep trying new action shots until I get good at them.

In other news, I've just recently become aware that people on the semester system are graduated or graduting college right about now. Kind of tripping me out that so many of my friends are moving on to the next stage of their lives......of course I'm on the quarter system and one quarter behind, so I'm still in the system until like August, but whatever.

Anyway I'm going to try to get to sleep, got a midterm paper to finish tomorrow that I'm not even close to prepared for, hope you guys enjoy the update!

Ah balls... http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=174

...totally forgot to upload this earlier. Goddamn midterms.

So yeah, midterms week, fun stuff. This, work and community service have kind of made the week hectic--honestly I feel so scatterbrained it feels like weeks since I've looked at the site (though I'm pretty sure I updated last Sunday?)

I did take one small break this week to see Ironman 3 last night though, and had an amazing time. Definitely my favorite of the Ironman flicks. Highly recommended.

Anyway, beautiful strip by Tate this week, check it out.

See you guys Sunday with the next Hard-Mode update (could be a bit late due to community service...)

I'm Back! http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=173

...Okay, so I should probably explain a few things.

If you came to the site last week (and don't check my twitter) you might wonder why there were no updates.

Well last weekend I spilled water all over my laptop, and as it turns out, water is very bad for laptops. Very bad.

...Anyway I had to send it into a shop for the week, and I only just got it back today, meaning I had no means to draw a Hard-Mode update or get Tate a storyboard. On top of this it really hammered in how I pretty much use my computer for everything, and my whole life became a little hectic as a result.

I feel bad about this because it came so quickly after the Speedrun cancelation, and I know a lot of people were already a bit upset over that, and not getting any Hard-Mode or Space Cat updates probably didn't help. Hell, I glanced at the comments in the last two blog posts from my phone, and people were going rabid. I don't know what started that but it sucked to be so helpless to do anything about it or explain myself.

Some of you guys need to relax, but I guess I can't blame you, I don't relax nearly as much as I should.

Anyway, I'm WAY behind schedule in all my shit due to my computer-less week, and I really need to crash. Hopefully things should continue as scheduled from now on. (Don't jinx it...)

Play Nice http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=172

First of all, let me say I've been blown away by all the comments I've gotten on my announcement that Speedrun is cancelled. I had no idea so many people were enjoying it so much, it really makes the decision that much harder to make....but ultimately I have to stick with my decision, or I'd just continue to be unhappy with it. But still, it means a lot that for a lot of you it was your favorite comic on the site, and motivates me that much more to try and get it up and running again in an improved form.

...which I'm happy to mention could be sooner than you think. I'm not in the process of relaunching Speedrun currently, but I AM in the process of creating a short 7-10 page Speedrun standalone comic that I'll probably submit to Premiere Pulp!

Hopefully that'll help soften the blow, and tide you guys over until I'm really ready to get things started again.

Anyway, back to Space Cat. Our adventure in the jungle continues, as things begin to get more....Sirius.

...Okay, I really need to stop with the shitty Sirius puns. I'm ending this post right now out of shame.

Forgive me my friends,

An Unfortunate Announcement Regarding Speedrun http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=171

I’ve thought this over a lot over the past month, and after much deliberation I’ve finally come to a decision:

I’m canceling Speedrun.

It’s not a decision I make lightly. I really wanted this comic to work out and there were a lot of things I liked about it in its current iteration, but ulimately, I wasn’t satisfied with how it was turning out.

I’m not happy with the way I was pacing the comic, and looking back at the first chapter there’s tons of things I’d do differently. With two other comics plus side projects to work on, I don’t think I dedicated enough time to writing this comic. I stretched myself too thin.

Last week’s update will be the last update---for now. I should make it clear that I’m not “killing” this idea, but rather just this iteration. I’m not killing Speedrun, I’m shelving it. I hope to revisit this comic someday when I feel more prepared, hopefully sooner rather than later. Maybe once I’ve graduated from school. Either way, when I do this comic, I want to do it right, rather than doing it in a form I’m not happy with.

Despite how I feel now, it’s been a blast working on this comic with FreeGlass. I’ve learned so much about collaborative process and even more about just writing comics in general. Though I regret some of the creative decisions I’ve made, I don’t regret attempting this endeavor. I think you learn more from mistakes than from successes.

For now I’m leaving the current pages up, until I decide what to do with them. When Speedrun eventually returns, these pages will still be available for viewing. I apologize to everyone that was enjoying this comic. I hope whenever Speedrun returns in its new format, you’ll understand why I made this decision.

Thanks for reading everyone, and thanks FreeGlass, for all the hard work,
-Nuzlocke

Some words from the artist, FreeGlass:

….And so, Speedrun’s reign is cut short. With Harry, our lad ready forever ready for showtime, and Andy, a fellow for infinite jest…

First off, I gotta say I’m thankful for Nuz to give me this chance. Its been a wonderful opportunity to draw and illustrate for such a talented, funny writer. And though I’ve done many drawing jobs in the last couple of years, this one’s where I’ve felt most at home.

This has been a wonderful experience. I’ve learned so much about making comics these last several months. I’ve learned how to be a better collaborator, a better listener and so many minute things I could’ve only found out making this.

I get the feeling I didn’t get to know you guys (or you, me) enough during our time. But I do really hope you’ve liked what I’ve done here enough to maybe stick around and see what I’ll be up to.

Me, I’ll be around. I’ll keep doing comics. Drawing, writing and collaborating all around in work and stories I’ve been meaning to do since I started to take this trade - with the respect it so deserves - so shortly ago. Stories you’ll hopefully remain with me to read and talk about.

And I’ll be more than happy to re-apply for the job if and when Nuzlocke comes a-knocking on the door again. By then, I do hope I’m more than ready, and improved enough to do his awesome stories and worlds justice.

(…Because god knows HE can’t! … I kid, I kid.)

…And as for Speedrun, I drew up about a month’s worth of pages of updates as a backlog. They’ll be ready for viewing on My Art Blog in short.

So for now. Goodbye, website.

I wish the best of luck to Nuz, to Tate, and to Nuzlocke.com.

As for the rest a’ ya.

Enjoy.

Happy Birthday http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=170

Tried to get this uploaded last night but the site was being uncooperative. Wish I knew what these random fits of downtime were about...

Anyway, so begins our look into the origin of the agent codenamed Space Cat. How did the cat and the dog meet? What  secrets lie in the Vietnam Jungle?

I supposed we'll find out soon. ish.

Anyway, I must get to work on some school stuff, so I'm just going to hand this over to Tate:

Hey everyone! So this is the first strip I got to use my Yiynova monitor for. So if some parts of it looks a bit wonky, it's due to me not being quite used to it yet.
For those of you who don't know, it's a monitor that I can draw straight on rather than use a drawing tablet. I opted for this over the Cintiq version because I am not made entirely of money. It's pretty goddamn nice, though there have been some driver issues that I had to work out. I'm also using it on the Space Cat animation, and all of the finished work you'll see on there will be from the Yiynova.
Until next time!

Your "Regularly Scheduled" Latelocke Update. http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=169

It seems Unova is not a region free from prejudice. Not that I blame them.

Damn Honies.

Anyway, no great excuse for why this is a day late....it just kind of turned out that way. Wasn't happy with the way things looked at first and took some extra time to fix it up....but then work got in the way and....yeah.

The super late Space Cat update that was supposed to go up on Friday will most likely go up tomorrow, Tate was having tablet issues so it didn't get done on time, and now that he's finished it it seems like the hosting service he sent it to me from is being uncooperative. Hopefully it works tomorrow....

I also have an announcement to make regarding Speedrun that I'm not really prepared to make tonight....but I'll be getting to that soon.

Life is so busy.

Super late Hard-Mode update coming in!

This is going to be a short blog posts too (sorry.) I'm in the middle of some big decisions right now and coupled with school things are pretty hectic (but what else is new?)

It might be for the best that this comic is late, as Space Cat will probably be a little late, might not be up until Saturday.

Anyway I can't say I'm very happy with how this update turned out. I was actually pretty pleased with the previous update, and in comparison I feel like I got sloppy with this one. Gonna have to work on that.

Anyway, wish everyone the best.

It seems our hero, the selfless defendor of justice, Burgh, is in peril! Will he be able to defeat this bothersome little pest and return home to his beloved Castelia City??

We can only hope so.

Okay, I kept my promise of getting this one out on time (at least in US time zones) but I still didn't get it uploaded as timely as I'd planned. I wasn't very happy with my first take on this update and I went back and redid some of the panels which added some extra time. Looking at it now though, I'm glad I did. Trust me, it looks a lot better than it would've a few hours ago.

Anyway, I'm going to try to get Thursday updates done for these next two weeks, so look forward to more Hard-Mode Burgh adventures in the future!

Muh Phoenix: Round 5 http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=165

After taking ENTIRELY too long, the fifth issue in my Avengers vs X-men edit/parody, Muh Phoenix, is finished!

It's a little shorter than the other issues/rounds, which is also connected to how long it took me to finish this one. I found this issue especially difficult to convert into parody, and I was sitting there staring at the pages with writers block for months. Ultimately I ended up omitting most of the pages and powered through the rest.

So yeah, it's only about 15ish pages compared to the usual 20ish pages, but hopefully it's still an enjoyable read. This is the halfway point in the story, after this things change gears a bit. I'm pretty excited to start editing the second half of the event, and I'm hoping Round 6 will be done quickly (but don't hold me to that.)

Also now that Muh Phoenix actually has its own page on the site, I no longer have to link all the pages individually! Either click the blog image or click here to jump into Round 5.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy, and I'll see you with a Hard-Mode update tomorrow (I promise I actually will this time!)

Flashback Time http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=164

Whewh, sorry it took me so long to get this up! This week's been WAY busier than I expected.

Space Cat is back! And so begins Act 2, kicking off with a healthy dosage of flashback sequences. Which was of course inevitable, because I apparently have a huge flashback storytelling fetish (DAMN YOU LOST!!)

Anyway, I'm excited to make some progress in the Space Cat story, and I can't wait to get the rest of it out there. Hope you're enjoying the ride too!

...I guess this is the part where I explain why there was no Thursday Hard-Mode update. Like I said, things got way busier this week than I expected, and on top of that I was kind of in a sour funk for reasons I can't really explain. I'm feeling a lot better now, and I'm hoping to put out Thursday updates as well as Sunday updates for the next two weeks to make up for it.

In other good news, I've just finished Muh Phoenix: Round 5, so that should be posted soon (probably later tonight or tomorrow.)

Anyway, gotta get back to doin stuff, hope everyone's doing well.

Now that Harry's got a better grip on things, it's time to dish out a healthy serving....of justice.

Or something.

Man, it's embarrassing how not on top of things I am right now. I'm adjusting to my new class schedule and I've been running all over town to collect my books, half of which my professors apparently haven't even ordered, so more of that to come. Totally forgot to upload this comic last night, and I haven't even started tomorrow's Hard-Mode yet. So much for that "spacing out the work" plan. Oh, and I guess I have a paper due too.

...but other than that things aren't so bad! Anyway, gonna hand this one over to Free Glass so I can get to class.

Stay pretty.
-Nuzlocke

...I like to think that first panel is in slow motion. With "Ave Maria" playing as background music... Its kinda poetic.

Anyway, I really like the way this one came out. Which is good. Cos then that all-nighter woulda been for nothing.

That's right. Pulled alot of hours for this baby. Which I hope shows, cos I'm VERY proud of what I did with tones right there.

Which I dunno if I'll do again in the near future, but I'm slowly adapting to medium changes and whatnot.

But yeah. Tones... and the poses had a LOT of reference to go on. I really like how the first one in particular looks...

Anyway, I'm working with new software on the next few pages - for experimentation's sake.

But for now, here's hoping this one's to your fancy!

Enjoy!

April Fools, son. http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=162

So if you were unlucky enough to visit the site late last night or earlier this morning, you may have fallen victim to my genius April Fools prank and witnessed an image not too unlike this one:

Ha! Don't you feel foolish, trying to look at comics but instead finding an expired domain??

...except it wasn't a planned prank. I actually DID forget to renew my domain, and the site was down for about 12 hours. I guess I should consider myself lucky nobody bought up the domain just to fuck with me in that time. (Now THAT would have been a good April Fools prank.)

The site's back online and Sunday's comic is up (it was a little late because getting back from Anaheim was a bit more hectic than I expected.) The comics should all be updating now, though Space Cat will be updating just once per week (on Fridays) for a little while before returning to its usual schedule. (Speaking of which I'll have to update the schedule soon...)

As for Wondercon, I had a blast. I'd never been to a convention before, and it was a bit overwhelming, but a good kind of overwhelming. The closest thing I can compare it to is browsing the internet in real life. Bought some cheap comics swag, people-watched cosplayers, got into just one panel (man, you really do have to line up early for those,) and got glared at by Lou Ferrigno (and I have no idea why.)

Nobody recognized me or said hi, but I wasn't really expecting anyone to. Still had an awesome time, maybe if you search for cosplay photos you can find me in the background.

Anyway, I'd love to tell con stories but I'm going to have to cut this blog post short since there's literally A MILLION THINGS I NEED TO DO NOW THAT I'M BACK IN SANTA CRUZ.

Well, not literally.

And now 2/3 comics are back online after our little one week hiatus!

...sadly as usual I'm an idiot, and it's unlikely that Space Cat will return this week. Somehow convinced myself I'd sent Tate the next script and didn't realize until yesterday that'd I'd just dreamed it. Also I still need to finish next Sunday's comic before Thursday, and I'm going to be in transit for most of today.

Yeesh, spring break went so fast.

Well I really need to get to work on some stuff (as well as actually get my shit together for my trip back to Santa Cruz) so I'm going to cut this post short. Again, I hope to see some of you guys at Wondercon.

And here's Free Glass:

Aaaah! Its good to be back!

Having enjoyed that bit off I'm glad we're back on track with Speedrun with a comic that's, well... maybe not the fullest in content but, well, it sure clears up a few things, dunnit?

Art--wise, like I said, not a whole lot goin' on but still. Working with some space and staging. Using some reference here and there.

...Either way, I'm glad we're going.

Enjoy!

Hard-Mode Returns! http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=159

Hard-Mode's back! And boy does it feel good!

...actually physically it doesn't feel too good, I haven't quite got the hang of this "taking breaks" thing when drawing updates and I can already feel my arm acting up a bit. Nothing serious though, just gotta be better about spacing this stuff out and not spending so much time in one position.

Also I'm pretty sure that Dragonite Skull holds the record for longest air time after being Rider Kicked into the air. What was it, like three weeks?

Anyway, this is going to be a busy Spring Break for me, I can already tell. I need to get next Sunday's update done before Wednesday, because after that I'll be heading down to southern California for Wondercon! It's the first convention I've ever been to, so I'm pretty excited.

I still haven't had a chance to see any of my Bay Area friends yet, somehow I doubt I'm doing to get as much work done on Muh Phoenix and Middle Earth Diaries as I'd hoped. Seems like there's never enough time these days...

Anyway, hope the first post-hiatus update is somewhat satisfactory (I know it's a little short) and I hope even more that I run into a few of you at Wondercon!

Good to be back,

In the game of international politics and espionage, allegiances can change at the turn of a hat. Will the alignments change yet again?

We'll just have to wait and see.

I hope people have been enjoying Space Cat so far. I know it's kind of an odd story (and it's about to take an even odder narrative detour) and so I'm pretty curious about what people think so far.

Things are about to shift storywise for a bit, so I figure this would be a good time to get so feedback from the people reading this comic. Any comments you can give are very welcome.

As I mentioned in the last Speedrun post, the comics will be taking a week off next week, but they'll all be starting up again (yes, even Hard-Mode) in the following week.

Welp, off to study a bit.

JESUS CHRIST I'M SO MAD http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=157

Okay, so originally this blog post was cleverly written (I'd like to think) and discussed the matters I'm about to list in great detai, but just as I finished said long-ass blog post, my FAT FUCKING WORTHLESSS FINGERS SLIPPED AND CLOSED THE TAB.

I really don't have the patience to type it all up again... I wish I did, since I think this is actually a pretty important post, but I don't. I just don't right now.

HERE'S ALL THE THINGS I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT:

-Sorry this update is technically late on the East coast, I haven't been on top of things while not drawing Hard-Mode because of my arm.

-My arms is mostly recovered. I want to start drawing Hard-Mode again but updates probably won't come until after next week, because I have finals. Futhermore...

-Next week all of the comics will probably be taking the week off. Free Glass has asked for a week off and things and with me not updating and the Space Cat front being a bit disorganized right now, it seems best to take a one week break to get things in order again.

-This is the most important thing: PLEASE DON'T SPAM CLICK THE ADS. I'VE BEEN WARNED BY GOOGLE ABOUT INVALID ACTIVITY, AND IF IT DOESN'T STOP I COULD HAVE MY ACCOUNT PERMANENTLY DEACTIVATED.

I really can't stress that last one enough. By "spam clicking" I mean users repeatedly clicking the site's advertisements in short periods of time. While it's true that I receive compensation for ads clicked, when individual users click several times within 24 hours it is recognized as invalid activity.

I know people want to support the site, but this is not the way to do it. If my account is deactivated, I won't have a means to support this site. While I don't do this for the money (I could make way more for half the time spent working minimum wage) it does help me justify the time spent as well as fund the site's hosting and improvements/projects (including Speedrun and Space Cat.)

Thanks for understanding,

DUN DUN DUN!

At last our hero and villain meet face to face! Well, techincally face to screen, but video transmissions are the next best thing.

There's a lot I need to get done today, so I'm going to cut this post short. Just want to say that my arm is really starting to improve and I hope to start on new Hard-Mode strips in the near future. I'm not sure when the new site layout will be ready ready for round 2 of implementation, but hopefully that's not too far off either. I'm also hoping I'll have the next Muh Phoenix done in the next two weeks, but who knows.

Anyway, I'm passing this off to Tate, see you guys next week:

Hey all!

Holy shit do I suck at backgrounds. I tried a couple of different things in an effort to make there be something besides grey, but nothing looked good enough.
Maybe there's a course I can take? I dunno. I'm gonna try to work on that though.

Man, for someone who just scored some free super powers, Harry sure does whine a lot.

Kid needs to work on his attitude.

Okay, so I'm really slow on the roll on uploading this. I was up all night working on a draft of my final paper and completely forgot to update....But technically it's stll Wednesday! I'M NOT LATE!

Technically.

You might've noticed there was no Tuesday Space Cat update. Like I mentioned in an earlier blog post it was another setback on my end with delivering the scripts on time. There should be an update for Friday.

You might've also noticed that the schedule didn't update this month, and if you've assumed this is because of my own lazy incomeptence, you'd be half right. I did initially forget to update it, but I've decided to forego the schedule this month because I'm not sure when I'll be getting back to drawing Hard-Mode, and finals/mandated community service may put some delays on the other comics as well. Don't panic though, there should still be a good amount of content regularly updated, I just don't want to make promises I can't keep this month.

In good news, today is the first day I can honestly say my arm gave me almost no trouble, so I think I'm on the road to recovery. Yay!

Anyway, I've got some stuff to take care of, so I'll hand this over to Free Glass:

ANDY RETURNS.

And so do his faces!

So, this page was a ton of fun. Sure, there was some scripting stuff here and there that went on, but I like to think it turned out fine.

Also, I like to think I'm really gettin' a hang of this tablet thing. And I know I've said so before, but here I'm just feeling some figure consistency I hadn't been feelin' in the past.

Some deets still need work, though.

But after the last few pages that've come out, I feel good about what's to come from myself. I also gotta mention these last pages have also been really fun to work on. I just like what I've done there. I get so silly over that but yeah, there goes.

Honestly, its been a tough couple of weeks for myself. Again, very stressful and just overall time consuming. I'm astounded to have actually finished these pages in the time I did at all.

Of course I don't like the schedule I'm handling. Much how I dislike the people I'm handling it with as well. But as I said, it's a situation I'm currently working on... But it hasn't done me any good at all on the emotional front.

I'm glad I have this, though.

And I hope you guys are too!
Enjoy.

Woops... http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=154

The new layout was supposed to go up, but apparently it didn't work correctly for anyone but Google Chrome users (not sure about Internet Explorer though, actually---then again, do people still use IE?) As a Chrome browser myself, I didn't catch this until someone notified me of the problem, so for now we're reverting to the old layout.

I still want to get the new layout up, but it's going to take some time to redesign it so that it works correctly with all browsers.

But hey, it wouldn't be nuzlocke.com if things went according to plan. Maybe we can take some assurance in that.

Sorry about the goof,
-Nuzlocke

New Site Layout Live! http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=153
...Okay so it's really not too different from the old layout, but I think overall this setup is a lot more user-friendly.

The main addition besides moving all the links to the top of the page is the "Other Projects" link. Now you can easily read Muh Phoenix or watch The Middle Earth Diaries (which I should really start continuing...) without digging through the blog archive! Nifty, huh?

If you're wondering why the title and links are all shoved to the left it's because I was hoping to get a leaderboard advertisement up there (NUZLOCKE YOU SELLOUT FUCK) but Jack's been having trouble getting it to work. Hopefully it gets fixed soon so the top of hte page looks a little less uneven.

In other news, my arm's really starting to improve, and I can't wait to start working on Hard-Mode again. I think I'm going to wait until my finals are done with (2 weeks from now) just to be safe, but then it's time to get back to work, though obviously I'll have to work on taking breaks between long drawing sessions.

Anyway, Space Cat might be late this week. (Hectic week last week made me get the scripts late to Tate AGAIN.) But if the week is really bare with updates I'll try to get a Fan Feature up (wait, we still do those?) or maybe even try to finish the next Muh Phoenix (I'm finally breaking through my writers block with this issue.)

See you soon,
Nuzlocke

EDIT: Apparently the new layout doesn't work correctly in Firefox... We'll try to get this corrected as soon as possible. In the mean time if you want to see it operating as planned, check it out in Google Chrome.

Where's the tingle? http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=152

Clearly Harry's doing something wrong, guess it's not as easy as it looks. Hopefully he can figure things out in time to end this wave of avian-based crime.

God helps us all.

Nothing to exciting to report, I'm pretty busy with school right now and generally trying to sort life stuff out; you know how it is. Luckily I think I might actually be able to graduate by the end of the summer, which I previously thought would take much longer. So there's some good news.

Oh, actually, there was another shooting in Santa Cruz today. I think that's been at least 3 or 4 in the past two weeks. No idea what's going on in this city right now, but it's certainly not good. Here's hoping no one else gets hurt and things settle down.

Can't really tell if the arm is getting better, whenever I think it's improving I get bad pains again the next day. I'm probably still using my computer more than I should...

Nothing from Free Glass today, but I'm sure he'll have something to say next week.

Hope everyone's doing well,
-Nuzlocke

Emergency Repurrs http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=151

Get it? "RePURRS"? Like, "repairs" but cats purr? Eh, eh??

I'll be accepting the award for "best blog post title" now. Thanks to the academy and all those other guys.

...yeah I don't actually have anything to important to say at the moment. Still recovering physically (and I think the new mattress is really helping) so still no Hard-Mode, but hopefully I'll be able to start pumping them out again soon. The new site layout also draws ever nearer, hopefully Jack'll be able to smooth out the last few problems before it goes live. It's not a radical change, but I think you guys are going to like it. It's mostly just an attempt to make the site a bit more user-friendly.

Anyway, nothing from Tate and I really have to get to sleep, so I'll see you guys tomorrow with the next Speedrun page.

As usual, thanks for the patience and understanding,
-Nuzlocke

[insert late joke here] http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=150

Yeah little late again, but I think things should be more on time for the foreseeable future.

For anyone wondering about my arm, I'm actually feeling a lot better. Still not great, but WAY better than I felt a week ago. I've been running, reading, stretching and generally avoiding my computer all week, and I also got a new mattress cover the other day which I think is really making a big difference.

I think I might take another week or two off from drawing the Hard-Mode strips just in case, but if I really feel awesome by the end of this week it could be sooner. In the mean time maybe I'll put some work into less drawing intensive projects like Muh Phoenix or Middle Earth Diaries. Speaking of which, there should be an update to the site layout soon that will better accomodate and feature these projects, so look out for it!

Anyway, thanks so much to everyone for the kind words and support, it really means a lot. I know it sucks to have something you follow go on hiatus so I really will try to get things moving again as soon as possible.

Well that's enough about me, lets hear from Tate:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey folks! Long time no blog. I'm finally all moved in and hopefully there's no more large furniture I need to purchase or move. That was a hassle.

Art-wise, there's not much to say. I'm working on finding animation work again, now that I'm settled in. The hard part is finding a studio in town that needs inexperienced graduates. Job hunt, ho!

Double Update http://www.nuzlocke.com?d=149

Whoo, double update, yay! (Oh god my arm...)

Yeah I'm a big baby, sue me. Shit hurts. I've been doing pretty good with avoiding my computer and actually getting some exercise already though, so hopefully I'm in for a speedy recovery. (If you don't know what I'm talking about check the next blog post down.)

Space Cat is updating alongside Speedrun a day late today because (surprise, surprise) I was a little late getting the latest scripts to Tate again. I promise it's not that I'm just super lazy about it, but I tend to write out the scripts in my notebooks and then forget I haven't actually typed them out and sent them to Tate until a day before update day. I'm going to try and avoid that bad habit from now on.

Anyway, ending this hurt because I've already spent too much time on this torture device writing a paper for tomorrow.

Thanks so much to everyone for all the kind words and encouragement, it really means a lot. I'm always blown away by how supportive this community is, and I'll be trying to get well again as soon as possible so I can return the favor to you guys with more content.

Now here's some words from your friendly neighborhood Freeglass:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So!

Stressful, stressful week for alot of us. And its barely halfway done. Life has its stops and its go's but sometimes you don't expect either.

The best thing to do is just brace yourself with whatever is coming next and do what you gotta do to make it. Its all about hanging in there.

That said! I feel that even with a somewhat rushed (aheh) page this week, I'm still going forward with what I'm doing here.

Framing is still a difficult issue here n' there. (I'm not about to drop a three-panel update on you guys for space's sake) and I'm still knocking myself on the head for one or another mistake here and there,.... But I really do feel I'm going places.

Anyway, here it is.

I really hope you all (and the guys at the site) have a good week only getting better, and just reminding you all to clench those teeth.

Good stuff's coming.

Its all about working on it.
